Enjoy Wholeheartedness With Peace of Mind
Though coffee itself is organic and biodegradable, many companies fail to eliminate the unnecessary evil of packaging.
Amongi's Coffee aims to go beyond promoting packaging innovation, focusing not only on the reduction of plastics but social and environmental impact in general. All of our pouches are 100% biodegradable, and decomposition occurs in just 10 weeks. The packaging is also made of high quality and eco-friendly materials with high oxygen and humidity barriers. What's more, there's a ziplock on the top and a compostable valve to give our coffee ultra-freshness by resealing it.
Among the great list of coffees that we will be providing our consumers, we are proud to present to you one of the first three origins from South America, Colombia.
Nothing is quite as satisfying as having a single-origin coffee that has hints of butterscotch sweetness and fruit acidity combined to provide notes of red apples and oranges, to start a refreshing morning – or if you're the kind of person who enjoys finishing the night with a cup.
Proudly presenting to you from the UK
Colombia, Antioquia has been carefully brought to you from Cambridge, England by Amongi's Coffee. This Colombia Excelso originates from the sub-region of Antioquia. Located in the temperate climate and mountainous terrain of southwest Antioquia, Finca Las Mercedes has the perfect altitude and climate for producing excellent quality coffee as well as playing host to a diversity of native flora and fauna.
Unique Processing Method
Wet processing is a tradition in the region, with producers using old-fashioned hand-cranked pulpers, fermenting and washing in the same tank, and sun-dried on raised beds.
Your Fruity & Sweet Daily Wake-Up Call
This coffee is very balanced while having real depth to the body. The sensational sweetness from hints of butterscotch sweetness and fruit acidity combined to provide notes of red apples and oranges makes you want to sip this coffee all morning long.
Make your mornings and nights worth it with a cup of our Colombia, Antioquia. You won’t be disappointed!
Sustainable packaging allows us to do our bit for the environment while equally appealing to our customers' environmental sensitivities.
Q - What happens if you change your mind and want to have the Colombian coffee instead of the hand-picked origin by us?
A - Don't worry, we're flexible, you're going to have the chance to let us know which coffee you like through the backers survey questionnaires that we will send to you.
The price of the subscription is only valid for the kickstarter campaign. After the launch, the prices will be returned to the original price at £14.95 per month.

Amongi's Coffee is a life-long project to help transform people's wellness and well-being across the world. We also believe that we all have the power to inspire others to become their best.
It all started when our founder, Eddie John, visited Uganda for the first time after 13 years in March 2019.
Eddie was born and raised in Uganda until the age of 14 when he moved to Sweden. In Kamwookya, the metropolitan area of Kampala where Eddie was brought up, lies some of the worst environmental and health vulnerabilities imaginable. As a 10-year-old boy he had to witness countless tragedies, other children and adults in developed countries would never encounter. From illness and death ravaging the communities affecting children, familiar faces, and even loved ones. It wasn't a life he or his parents had wished for but it's the sad reality, and Eddie still carries the scar's from his childhood in his memories to this day.
As a result of plastic pollution and poor public health management, diseases such as asthma, pulmonary cancer (from inhalation of poisonous gases), liver damage, and kidney failure have tragically taken many people's lives. They are a major threat to the new generation.
His experience in the country made him realise how thankful he is for all the little things in life, and how much he could do to use his knowledge and experience to help those in need. Being raised in the slums of Uganda, where plastics are still shockingly one of the leading causes of illness (and even worse, death), Eddie really wants to make a difference and help through social impact. To provide our consumers with the finest coffee, reduce our ecological footprint, help preserve nature, and support people in need through social impact. With conscious consumerism and sustainable lifestyles in demand, Amongi's commits to serve its customers with products and services that are a 100% green and harm-free.
Amongi's Coffee [Project X]
The potential is unlimited when it comes to our corporations and what we can do to improve the well-being of the environment and the people. However, it will take not only one but several corporations that care enough about positive climate change to achieve this goal. That's why we're committed to working harder to tackle environmental and social issues that the world is facing today.
The Amongi's Coffee [Project X] enables us to match our input (revenue) to output (activities).
Our first activity: Reforestation
Reforestation is important as an effective mitigation strategy for combating global warming. In addition to benefiting the climate, reforestation helps to protect important animal species. Reforestation helps to rebuild habitats and alleviate degradation that pose a major threat to the health of the species.
For every 100 coffee bags of coffee purchased, 10% of the initial profit will be allocated to support reforestation in partnership with One Tree Planted.
The Amongi's Coffee [Project X] is an ongoing operation that may require improvement from time to time. Thus, input relative to outputs can vary depending on the performance and objective of the company.
Point of Clarification: Funds raised on Kickstarter are solely to help the business to get started, hence no monies will be donated to charities during this process. It is in the future once we are established that we will be able to get involved in charitable activities.
Reusability and Recyclability
Electronic waste is one of the fastest-growing types of waste in the world. In Amongi's Coffee, we are genuinely concerned about sustainability; we are reusing and repairing our defective machines. Our packaging is durable with a carrying handle for the convenience of our customers and is designed to replace the quantity of disposable coffee bags in landfills.
Reduce Waste
Although coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world, we are also aware of the dramatic impact it has on the planet, from roasting to packaging. We however roast and supply our coffee in small batch production, this way we can control the materials used and reduce the ecological footprint.
Reforestation
Reforestation around the world is one of the most effective ways of reducing CO2 levels in the atmosphere to tackle the global warming crisis. In areas where forests have been lost or degraded, reforestation is the best way to accelerate the recovery of forests. In addition to this, lost habitats of various species can be rebuilt.

Risks and challenges
With all projects, there are going to be risks and challenges. At the moment, the biggest risk is COVID19 that is believed to affect logistics, roasting, and acquisition of certifications in time due to limited resources within the institutions.
