Roadie 3 Automatic Instrument Tuner
Roadie 3 can tune almost all instruments with geared pegs in just seconds.
3 years ago we brought you the award-winning Roadie 2 & Roadie Bass. These products received massive support from our buyers and triers and since then we have focused on using all that we’ve learned to push things to the next level for Roadie 3.
Tune faster than ever
Roadie 3 is our new flagship automatic instrument tuner. It helps you find your sound fast with quicker rotation and enhanced accuracy to keep your tunings consistently dead-on.
Roadie 3 is built with carefully tooled and proprietary audio algorithms. Its next-generation vibration detection delivers improved tuning accuracy and enhanced noise immunity.
If it has guitar pegs, Roadie 3 can tune it
Roadie 3 can tune almost all instruments with geared pegs in just seconds. Like what you ask? How about electric guitars, acoustic guitars, classical guitars with nylon strings, pedal steel guitars, ukuleles, mandolins, banjos, to name a few.
We have also seen musicians tune their lap steel guitars, bouzouki, mountain dulcimer, santoor, cigar box guitar, qanun with geared pegs, violins with planetary pegs, and many other exotic instruments using Roadie 3's predecessor! Others have even created custom instruments such as the charango, the guitalele, the bandurria, and the baglama.
No matter the number of strings, just keep the lowest string above 27 hertz. This is the lowest note Roadie 3 will be able to detect.
Restring & tune effortlessly
We have completely revamped and sped up how Roadie 3 helps you change strings. Roadie 3 will now very quickly wind your new string to tension with a motor speed of 120 RPM and then tune it up, all in one smooth step!
When placed on the tuning peg, Roadie 3 will listen to the vibrations of your guitar string, analyze its pitch, and automatically turn the peg to get your string into perfect tune.
No matter your experience level, tuning is no fun and it takes time away from playing. Roadie 3 will help you save time, explore more music, and truly enjoy tuning your instrument.
We wanted Roadie 3 to be all about the details. Here are some of the little things that show our fellow musicians that we use what we make and listen to our fans.
Designed by musicians for musicians, the app has a beautiful, minimal, and intuitive interface. It allows you to tune almost any string instrument on the go and stay up to date with the latest Roadie upgrades. It’s like your Roadie 3 found its soul mate!
The App can:

Band Industries came out of a need for its two co-founders to tune less and play more. Our company’s first product, the Roadie Tuner, was launched in 2013 and garnered worldwide attention and accolades including the TechCrunch Disrupt 2014 Audience Choice Award. Not ones to sit by when they could be innovating, we followed Roadie up with Roadie 2 in 2017 and then Roadie Bass in 2018. Bands began touring and recording using our tools which was pretty powerful to see.
Since then and while we were hard at work on Roadie 3, we have released several interesting apps for musicians: Roadie Tuner, Roadie Music Recorder, Roadie Bass Tuner, and Ukulele by Roadie. We will keep up on all these projects but it is now finally time for our next milestone with the release of Roadie 3!
By some chance of luck, fate, or both we have assembled a group of music-loving professionals who have wonderfully complementary talents. Due to an additional unfathomable plot twist, we all also really like one-another so plan to keep working on fun projects together to benefit the musical community. People also seem to like what we make together so that's always nice too.
That's us at work (from home)
